How To Repair Windows XP Installation

Sometime computer users will got the problems with Windows system. Sometimes serious problems that can cause the computer not booting or system files windows damaged by the virus. If this happens there are usually two options, i.e. Re-Install or Repair Windows. This time I will discuss how to repair installation of Windows XP.

Repair technique has advantages such as data in the system is still intact. And it will also shorten the time, as if re-install the program, including the driver must be re-installed again. If the program is very much, they will spend a long time.

But even so, re-install Windows often will be more fresh for our computer, especially if the previous drive format first, so that the windows are really like a new born baby .. :)

Errors that often occur when you want to repair Windows XP is shown when the options / menu installation the first time, we choose the Repair Using Recovery Console, so that the show is an application / Command Prompt window. Steps installation Windows XP

1. Before run the below step, make sure that the computer BIOS is set so that the sequence is booting CD ROM first and record the Serial Number of Windows XP.
2. Insert the Windows XP Installation CD Rom, then restart (reboot) the computer.
3. When appear "Press any key to boot from CD", press any key on the keyboard.
4. Windows Setup will continue with the load files that are required from the CD.
5. After that, will appear "Welcome to Setup", then press ENTER.
6. After that will appear Licensing Agreement.
7. Press the F8 to continue
8. Windows Setup will look whether already have install Windows XP or not
9. If you already Install Windows XP, it will be displayed in the list. If no, then can not repair Windows XP.
10. Once found, select Windows XP you desired and press R to repair Windows XP-Installation.
11. Wait until finish then wait till your computer restart.
12. After restart, if appears "press any key to boot from the CD" do not press any button. Follow the continuation of the process until the repair is completed. Done
